Painting brought me back to myself.
For twenty-five years, I poured myself into caring for others - first my parents through illness, then raising my three children. Somewhere in all that giving, I lost track of who I was and what made me feel alive.
My artistic journey began in Dumbo, Brooklyn in the early 2000s, immersed in a thriving artist community. Later in New Jersey, I longed to reconnect with that energy. I developed my painting skills at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey and studied graphic design at Pratt. In 2024, I chose fine art as my central focus and entered the Mastery Program at Milan Art Institute.
Now there’s an urgency in my work that wasn’t there before. After years of retreating into distractions when the dream of pursuing a passion felt overwhelming, I understand how precious time is. My parents passed young, and that reality sits with me—not as just as sadness, but as fuel.
“I create bold paintings touched with gold because I believe we all deserve to reclaim our spark. This is our moment to stop waiting and reconnect with the vibrant parts of ourselves we may have set aside.”
In my home studio, surrounded by several paintings in progress and my dog, Ruby, I’m finally living days oriented toward creativity.
