Scarlet Nectar

Scarlet Nectar was the first painting in this collection. I had been planning to paint a hummingbird because I was drawn to their energy and color. On a walk by the beach with my son, I saw something glinting in the grass. When I leaned down to look, I saw it was a peacock feather. I took it home and decided that I had to paint that too. The Curious Companions collection idea was born! The feather is still in my studio, and I look at it every day.
